Dell have taken a leaf out of Asus' netbook and have come up with a new Inspiron Nickelodeon Netbook which they are marketing to kids with the catch phrase "have the slime of your life". Whereas Asus have gone with the Disney Netpal and the Disney brand image of good wholesome family fun, Dell are appealing to that side of kids that likes all things disgusting and have made their netbook to look like it has slime on it ! Much to the amusement of many kids no doubt. A neat marketing ploy.

Dell and Nickelodeon have continued the slime theme inside the netbook as well. It's great fun for the kids as they get to make a mess but there is nothing to clean up afterwards.

The netbook also features parental controls.

Whyville - where they delve into a virtual world where they can learn and play with other kids around the globe, via a customized avatar that takes them through a variety of educational and kid-friendly activities. Whyville has been approved by both parents and teachers.

The screen is 10.1" - slightly larger than the 8.9" of the Asus Netpal. The Mini Mickeloden has an internal 802.11b/g WiFi to keep your kids connected to their blog, instant messenger, video chat, and e-mail, it also has a 1.3MP webcam, 3 USB ports to connect to an external hard drive, digital cameras etc...
